Sweet Corn, Basil & Poblanos Lasagna
We love this recipe, and wanted to make it even better. We roasted poblano pepper’s for heat, grilled the corn for extra flavor and added layers of whole corn kernels for texture. The basil rounded off the dish nicely. The combination was just perfect, a symphony of amazing, sweet, creamy and slightly spicy deliciousness!
Fresh Pici Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes
This summer we spent a few days in Cortona, Italy at Il Falconiere, a Relais & Châteaux hotel/spa and home to the Baracchi winery and cooking school. One of our favorite dishes at the resorts Michelin star restaurant was the Pici con Pomodorino ed Erbette (Fresh Pici Pasta with tomatoes and herbs).

My Great Grandparents were born in Zahle, Lebanon. That’s where the history of the Wardy’s began. My Great-Great Grandfather, Ibrahim Daher Wardy born in the early 1800s had four sons, Daher, Elias, Wakeen (my Great Grandfather) and Khalil. We had the great pleasure of touring “Istituto Professionale per L’Agricoltura”, a school of agriculture that produces Parmigiano Reggiano, fresh Ricotta and grows a beautiful array of fruits and vegetables.
