I love Christmas, don’t you? It’s hard not to, people are happy, children are making lists for Santa, Mom’s are baking, friends are having hot chocolate, stores are full of shoppers and my Dads’, Amen and Bob are busy decorating their house and planning their annual triple header (that’s three parties on three consecutive nights).
It’s always nice to include a gift at each place setting that guest’s can take home. It can be anything from a special box of chocolates, to a favorite cookbook, or homemade treats. A memorable and festive evening is easily accomplished by creating experiences that occur all through the night. Of course if you’re in Aspen, the best place to shop for gifts is, Amen Wardy.
Ok… so they started decorating 3 months ago, just take a look at the pics, and you’ll see why it took so long. Yes I agree, Santa will be jealous, but when he sees the table and the caviar of course, he may just stay for dinner. As a matter of fact, I think my Dad, hears Rudolph and the boys heading down the chimney!
The magic takes time, it’s all about layers of color and texture, which provide the back drop for surprises that pop up at every corner. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you are wowed by another flash of creative Christmas brilliance.
So now that the table is set, the champagne is chilled, and the tenderloins are roasting what’s next…we take a moment to be grateful for each other, the beauty that surrounds us and the wonderful friends and family that we get to share the evening with.
Merry Christmas and Life’s Blessings to all of our family, friends and readers.
While Amen plans his next great project, the spectacular house photographed above is up for sale, for more information please take a look Bear Dance Farm.
