There’s something magical about walking into a space and being instantly transported by a beautifully set table. The art of table setting is more than just arranging plates and glassware—it’s about storytelling. It's how we welcome guests, create atmosphere, and celebrate life’s moments, both big and small.
One of my favorite tabletop designers who embodies this philosophy is Kim Seybert. Her collections are a masterclass in layering textures, colors, and details that captivate from the first glance. Known for her bold use of embroidery, beading, and tactile materials, Kim transforms the everyday table into a canvas for creativity. Whether it’s hand-beaded placemats, vibrant napkins, or sparkling glassware, her pieces exude a sense of artistry and joy.
When I design a table, I draw inspiration from that same ethos—blending natural elements with refined accents, unexpected pairings with timeless elegance. The key is layering—linens, chargers, plates, flatware, and florals—that play with texture and color in a way that feels intentional and immersive. The glow of candlelight reflecting off crystal, the softness of a linen napkin against a rattan charger, the pop of a seasonal bloom—it’s all in the details. Every place setting should invite your guest to pause, appreciate, and feel the experience you’ve created.
Where design becomes hospitality...
If you’re looking to elevate your own table, I offer curated tabletop product consultation and design services to help bring your vision to life—whether it’s for a dinner party, a special celebration, or just to make everyday meals feel extraordinary.
Starting this month, I’ll be curating a “Shop the Look” available exclusively at AmenWardy.com, featuring a new seasonal tablescape monthly—complete with everything you need to recreate the look at home.
Because when the table is this beautiful, the memories are even more unforgettable.
